Help
Start with the answers below. If a publishing or rendering problem continues, send support the ClipForge version, operating system, and exact error message.
Where does ClipForge store my projects?
You choose a workspace folder when you set up ClipForge. Sources, transcripts, edit data, and rendered files stay in that local workspace. ClipForge also keeps application settings and a project index in your operating system's application-data directory.
Does ClipForge upload my media automatically?
No. Local project files stay on your computer unless you start a feature that needs an external service. For example, generating a transcript may send audio to the provider you configured, and publishing sends the selected rendered clip to the destination you approved.
What should I check before publishing to TikTok?
Confirm the connected nickname, play the media preview, edit the caption, select an available audience, review interaction settings, disclose commercial content when relevant, and read the declaration beside the final post action.
Why is a TikTok audience or interaction option unavailable?
TikTok returns the options available for each creator and post. Account privacy, creator settings, post type, commercial-content choices, and posting limits can disable an option. ClipForge reflects those current restrictions.
Why is my TikTok post still processing?
TikTok processes uploaded media before it becomes visible. This can take several minutes. Keep ClipForge open long enough to receive the current status. If the job fails, use the reported reason before trying again.
What does ClipForge send to YouTube?
ClipForge sends the rendered video, title, description, category, privacy setting, and optional scheduled release you approved. YouTube returns a video identifier and upload result, which ClipForge keeps in the local publishing history.
What does ClipForge create in Typefully?
ClipForge uploads the rendered clip and creates or schedules a draft for X and Threads in the social set you configured. Review the resulting draft and manage the final social posts from Typefully.
How do I disconnect a publishing service?
Clear its saved credentials from ClipForge's publishing settings. For TikTok and YouTube, also revoke ClipForge from the platform account's connected-app settings. Removing a connection stops future access; it does not delete videos, drafts, or posts already sent to a service.
How do I delete ClipForge data?
You control the local workspace and can remove project files from your computer. Follow the data deletion instructions for application settings, saved platform credentials, and support records.
What media should I use?
Use media you created or have permission to edit and publish. Do not use ClipForge to remove copyright marks, copy arbitrary content from other services, or publish material that violates a destination's rules.
